Travelling-Head Die Cutting with PLC and HMI Control
The GEA-T400 combines a moving cutting head with PLC and HMI control. Its listed servo motor and ball-screw drive position the head across the workbench for die cutting.
Match the Die Layout and Feeding Arrangement
A travelling head can use a smaller die at successive positions across the material. Check the part outline and cutting layout against the workbench and required cutting force.
The feeding arrangement is selected alongside the press. Whether the material arrives as sheets or rolls helps determine which feeding configuration is needed.
Compare the 40-ton automatic-feeding press configuration. For material applications, see the EPE foam cutting guide and EVA insole cutting application.
